That way, the truck is a lot more reliable, and a lot less maintenance will be required(tune ups, timing, etc.). Also, you can just start it and go in the winter, no warm up time. It will also get better gas mileage. I would look into an '88 or newer Chevy truck with maybe a 305 v8 and a manual transmission. That would get much better gas mileage than the truck you're looking for, and it would be easier to manuver and fuel up. I have a '98 Chevy 1500 and it rocks!
