this is a 1939 NOT a 1938. 1938 shared the same body design as well as the cab as the 37. The only difference was the grill. The 37 had stripes running the length of the grill and the 38 had stripes running the width. Also neither the 37 or 38 had a split windshield as they were able to crank out. This is a 39.

The original motor was a chevy 6 cylinder. It was replaced in the early 80’s with a 302 and an automatic transmission. It is very easy to drive and runs/stops great.

o shawn,im sorry but you”38″ pickup is not a 38 i believe it is also a 39 first there is the two piece windshiel and the hood sides second along with afew other details that lead me to believe you have a 39 not 38.
